Terms of Service
Last updated August 16, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and ServiceRoot. They apply whenever you create an account, connect an integration, or use the product in any way. If you do not agree to them, do not use ServiceRoot.
What ServiceRoot is
ServiceRoot is call tracking and coaching software for home service businesses. It records and transcribes calls, captures leads and bookings from connected sources, scores calls against a playbook, and reports on how a team is performing.
ServiceRoot is sold to businesses. The business that holds the account is the tenant. The tenant is responsible for everyone it invites into its workspace.
Your account
You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for everything done under your account.
An account owner can invite, remove, and change the role of other users in the workspace. Owners can see all data in the workspace, including calls handled by other users. Tell your team that.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract on behalf of the business you are signing up.
Call recording is your responsibility
ServiceRoot records and transcribes calls. This is the core of what the product does, and it carries legal obligations that sit with you, not with ServiceRoot.
Recording laws differ by state and country. Some require all parties on a call to consent. You are solely responsible for giving whatever notice and obtaining whatever consent the law requires wherever you and your callers are located, including any spoken disclosure at the start of a call.
By using ServiceRoot you confirm you have the right to record and transcribe the calls you run through it, and you accept responsibility for any claim arising from a recording you made.
What you may not do
You may not use ServiceRoot to:
- break any law, including recording, wiretap, telemarketing, and do-not-call laws
- record a person you have no lawful right to record
- place calls you are not authorized to place, or send unsolicited bulk calls or messages
- upload malicious code, or attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service
- reverse engineer the product, or resell or sublicense access without our written agreement
- use the product to build a competing service
- share a login with someone outside your workspace
We may suspend an account immediately if we believe it is being used for any of the above, or if it puts the service or other tenants at risk.
Your data stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into ServiceRoot and everything it captures on your behalf: recordings, transcripts, call records, leads, bookings, and team data.
You grant ServiceRoot the permission it needs to run the service: to store your data, to transcribe and analyze it through the processors named in the Privacy Policy, and to display the results back to your workspace. Nothing more.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your call content to train our own models.
Connected services
ServiceRoot connects to third-party services such as phone providers, CRMs, and lead sources. When you connect one, you authorize ServiceRoot to read and write data on your behalf within the scope you approve.
Those services are run by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, their pricing, or what they do with data you hold in them. If one of them changes or removes an API, the matching feature in ServiceRoot may stop working.
Billing
ServiceRoot is a paid subscription billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from the billing area of your workspace. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund. We may change pricing, and if we do we will give at least 30 days notice before it affects your renewals.
If a payment fails and is not resolved, we may suspend access until the balance is settled.
Availability
We work to keep ServiceRoot running, but we do not promise any specific uptime. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, for reasons caused by an upstream provider, or for reasons outside our control.
ServiceRoot is not an emergency service and must not be relied on for emergency communication.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using ServiceRoot and close your account at any time by writing to admin@serviceroot.io.
We may end or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms, if your account goes unpaid, or if we stop offering the product. Unless the law requires otherwise, we will give reasonable notice before ending a paid account that is in good standing.
After an account closes we delete or de-identify its data on a routine schedule. If you need an export, ask before you close the account.
No warranty
ServiceRoot is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Transcription and AI scoring are automated and imperfect. They will sometimes be wrong. Do not treat them as the sole basis for an employment decision, a legal determination, or anything else with real consequences for a person. Review the underlying recording first.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ServiceRoot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost data.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid ServiceRoot in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify ServiceRoot against any claim, loss, or expense arising from your use of the service, your data, or your failure to obtain the consent required to record a call.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice by email or inside the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use ServiceRoot after that means you accept the updated terms.
